Comprehensive regeneration & urban design project including new homes, refurbished flats, and homesteading for London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
The major element is the conversion and rehabilitation of a 1930s block, into 72 flats. Of these, 8 were ‘homesteaded’, where the tenants, as part of a skills training scheme, carried out the fitting out works and decoration themselves.
The scheme included major infrastructure and external works and substantial decontamination works of the whole site.
In addition there are 9 new flats and 14 new houses.
